Mary Brooksbank School (MBS) is a School for Specific Purposes (SSP) within the NSW Department of Education. Mary Brooksbank School provides educational programs for students who have moderate, severe and profound intellectual disability. Many of our students also have secondary physical, emotional or sensory disabilities.
Mary Brooksbank School is staffed by professional, university-educated teachers who have outstanding skills in supporting the complex learning needs of our students.
The teaching staff are supported by a dedicated team of School Learning Support Officers (SLSO’s) who have additional training in health care procedures and meal support. All staff are involved in ongoing training and development to ensure quality teaching and learning across the school.
